Common questions

How do I share a list?

Open the list and tap the person icon with the + at the top right. Send the invitation by Messages, Mail or any other app. Once someone accepts, they can view, edit and check off items right away — for free.

Someone can’t open my shared list.

Sharing runs through iCloud. Both of you need to be signed in to iCloud on an iPhone or iPad with iOS / iPadOS 26 or later, with iCloud turned on for Hakerl (Settings → your name → iCloud). Then send the invitation again.

Changes don’t show up on my other device.

Check that both devices are online and signed in to the same Apple Account, with iCloud on for Hakerl. Changes you make offline sync as soon as you’re back online.

The AI suggested something odd or missed something.

AI can get things wrong. Just edit, add or delete items by hand, or use “Make it better” with one sentence about what’s missing. Please always check safety, medical and baby items yourself.

I’ve used my free AI checklist.

The free version includes one AI checklist with two improvements. You can keep using the example lists and create as many lists by hand as you like. For more AI checklists, there’s Premium.

It says I’ve reached the daily limit.

Premium includes up to 30 AI actions (new checklists and improvements) a day under our fair-use rule. The counter resets every day at midnight UTC. Your lists keep working as usual in the meantime.

My reminders don’t arrive.

Reminders are notifications scheduled on your device. Make sure notifications are allowed for Hakerl (Settings → Notifications → Hakerl) and that Focus modes aren’t silencing them.

How do I restore my Premium purchase?

Open Settings (the gear icon) in the app and tap “Restore purchases”, signed in with the same Apple Account you bought with. Premium also carries over to your other iPhone or iPad.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Hakerl. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription.

How do I delete my data?

Delete lists in the app. To remove everything, delete the app and its iCloud data (Settings → your name → iCloud → Manage Storage). Our server holds no lists, only anonymous usage counters — write to us if you’d like those removed too.
